"...I urge all the faithful in our Archdiocese of St. Louis, now more than ever, to demonstrate compassion and provide support to those in need, with a special deference to mothers and children in need.”
This week's selection "Everything You Need to Know About Abortion – For Teens" by Janet Morana shares accurate details about the topic with a direct but compassionate tone.
Many, many thanks to all who participated in our Corpus Christi Procession last Sunday. What a wonderful way for our parish families of Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Francis Borgia who make up the Catholic Family in the City of Washington, to show our faith and belief in the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.
Happy Father’s Day! We are blessed by our fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, and all who fill the role of father for us in our lives. Today (Sunday) is also the co-parish Corpus Christi Procession. We hope to see you there!
A sampling of our Parish's individual results are available here. These, along with the remaining results, are currently being assessed and used for future planning. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported our Parish.
Thank you for a wonderful celebration with Deacon Tim Reis at the 9:00 a.m. Mass last Sunday. Tim did a great job on his first day of serving as a Deacon at Mass including preaching the homily!
For the first time ever, the relics of St. Bernadette are touring the United States, visiting The Old Cathedral and the Cardinal Rigali Center. Click here for additional information!
Congratulations to Deacon Tim Reis who was ordained a Permanent Deacon on Saturday, June 4th. All are invited to attend 9am Mass and celebrate at the reception following with Tim and his family on Sunday.
