Statuary, Accoutrements and Other Artwork
If you are standing in the main aisle facing the altar you will see Jesus on the cross with Mary, his mother, and the apostle John. Below that is the tabernacle which contains the Holy Eucharist. To the right is the baptismal font, the Easter Candle and the Holy Family Statue, along with a cabinet that holds the holy oils of the sacraments: Oil of Chrism, Oil of Salvation/Catechumen, Oil of the Infirmed. To the left of the main altar are statues of St. Francis Borgia and St. Francis of Assisi.
At the north end of church on a small altar on the west (baptismal font) side is St. Theresa of Lisieux and St. Anthony of Padua. Near those statues is the Infant of Prague.
By the center doors hang the statues of St. Mark with a lion, St. John with an eagle and St. Rose Philippine Duchesne. St. Rose visited SFB in 1841. Above the doors is stained glass: the center is the Eye of God, the left represents the Holy Spirit and the right represents the Eucharist. On the confessional doors is a picture of Jesus as the Divine Mercy.
On the northeast side altar there is a depiction of Our Lady of Perpetual Help with a Pro-Life candle. Above that is a list of the Franciscan Fathers and the years they served St. Francis Borgia. Facing that is a richly decorated cross.
Saint Francis Borgia Church has the fourteen stations depicted on its side walls. They begin in the Northeast corner of church by the altar with Our Lady of Perpetual Help and proceed south towards the main altar in front, and then back down the other side of church to the northwest side.
