ST. FRANCIS BORGIA GRADE SCHOOL
UNIFORM POLICY
Originally Adopted and Enacted for the 2003-2004 School Year
Amended November 11, 2010
Further Amended May 12, 2011
The administration, faculty, staff, and Parish Board of Education at St. Francis Borgia Grade School (“school”) consider a Uniform Policy important to our school environment. We feel that the manner in which a student dresses has an impact on behavior and attitude. Nothing should be worn that could be the cause of disruptive behavior.
It is the responsibility of the parents/guardians to cooperate with the school faculty and administration in enforcing the Uniform Policy.
The Uniform Policy is as follows:
1. At dismissal students should leave the building in full uniform unless there is a reason, approved by the principal, not to.
2. If a student comes to school without the appropriate uniform, parents/guardians will be notified and expected to bring the correct clothing to school.
3. There will be at least one day a month when students will not be required to wear their full uniform. No student should ever feel he/she must wear something other than the approved uniform on these “special” days.
4. When at all possible, students will go outside for lunch recess or other instructional activities. It is imperative that students have weather appropriate jackets, coats, gloves, hats, etc.
5. The following suppliers shall be the exclusive suppliers of certain articles of the approved school uniform as further explained below:
Designer Threads Just Me Apparel

Washington, MO 63090 Manchester, MO 63021

7. The Revised Uniform Policy regarding shirts will become fully effective beginning with the school year 2013-2014. The Revised Uniform Policy regarding sweatshirts and sweaters will become partially effective beginning with the school year 2013-2014 such that all sweatshirts or sweaters worn by students shall have the current logo or the new logo provided exclusively by Designer Threads.
