The Contemplative Prayer Group is a Christian community of people committed to the Christian Contemplative Path in the active world. The ripe fruit of contemplative prayer is to bring back into the humdrum routines of daily life not just the thought of God, but the spontaneous awareness of His abiding presence in everything. Transformation is initiated and sustained through the practice of opening ourselves to the presence and action of Christ in the stillness of our being. Other activities such as days of prayer, contemplative retreats and spiritual formation are offered through our parent organization, Contemplative Outreach of St. Louis. |
| Christ Renews His Parish |
| The 'CRHP' Weekend is an opportunity to examine, rediscover, and /or intensify your personal relationship with Christ. It's a spiritual renewal experience which brings adult parishioners together in small groups to reflect and share spiritual and real life issues with each other in the environment of their own parish. It will strengthen your faith, and your involvement with the parish community. Information on CRHP Weekends will be in the Sunday Bulletin. |
|
We give entirely to the Lord in song, spontaneous prayer, scripture, praise and thanksgiving. Next, we may have a teaching or a scripture given with a time for reflection and sharing after which there will be time for petitions and needs to be brought to the attention of the community. Individuals or the prayer group will make home visits, if requested. |
Contact Ellen Lause, Dolores Hoelscher, or Dot Filla with prayer intentions. |
|
The Prayer Tree is a special tree whose branches and limbs are faithful, prayer ministers. The Prayer Tree ministers join to express their love of neighbors by uniting in a bond of faith, hope and charity in intercessory prayer. These ministers set aside some time every day to pray for the intentions and needs that are given to them over the phone. |
